Scarlett Hayes lives in Sydney, Australia with her mom and her brother, Dylan. She's 17 and her brother's 18. Scarlett's dad left her family when she was little, so she and her brother then took on her mom's surname. They then switched from Johanson to Hayes.

Luke Hemmings just moved from Melbourne to Sydney and ends up living next door to the Hayes'. He lives with his mom who had kicked his dad out when he was 13. Luke is 18. He had the rep of a bad boy, a player some people might say. He closed himself out to the world after his dad left which caused him to do some regrettable things. But now Luke is in a new place and no one knows about him or his old life. He finally gets the chance to start over, but that might not be to easy for him.

I know what you're thinking. "They're going to fall in love the first time their eyes meet."

How about no.
