Emotional pain has a biological purpose. It educates us to pull us away from unhealthy patterns ad relationships. I've been pushing away my pain for so long, medicating with friendships, romantic notions, and yet it returns in my weaker moments, devastating my mind. To keep repeating this pattern will only prolong it, keeping my feelings underneath me, when their true intention should be to rise.
