"You know, this wasn't supposed to happen." Alia said.

"I was supposed to live a normal life, or at least semi-normal."

Ross tilted his head, simply refusing to let her think that.

"But that's no fun, isn't it?" He asked, smiling.

Alia sighed, glaring at him.

"I didn't want fun. I just wanted normal." She spat. "I never thought I would meet R5, and I sure as hell didn't think I'd meet you."

Ross' smile widened as he let out a light laugh.

"But you want fun now, right? And you've met us, and you've definitely met me! This is now, not then. So quit living in the past, because the future belongs to those who prepare for it today."

"The thing is that people change each other." Riker winked, getting a sigh from Jenny in response.

"Bull." She said, averting his gaze. "But it's true, no? You just have to learn to accept it."

He crossed his arms, a smirk on his face.

"Well, learning isn't exactly how I roll." Jenny laughed.

"I'm sure it isn't," Riker replied.

"But it's time I teach you how to learn."
