Ross tilted his head, simply refusing to let her think that.
"But that's no fun, isn't it?" He asked, smiling.
Alia sighed, glaring at him.
"I didn't want fun. I just wanted normal." She spat. "I never thought I would meet R5, and I sure as hell didn't think I'd meet you."
Ross' smile widened as he let out a light laugh.
"But you want fun now, right? And you've met us, and you've definitely met me! This is now, not then. So quit living in the past, because the future belongs to those who prepare for it today."

Even though a lot of Beccas scenes with her parents are things I've actually experienced in my own home, I'm NOT writing this is such detail for people to feel bad for me or give me attention for it. I'm simply writing it because it makes it easier for me to write about the relationship between Becca and her parents this way. I'm writing this because it's all I know in a relationship between daughter and parent. This way it will be able to write more realistic.
