A fantasy story that combines two different worlds and time periods.
There is a legend that each naga (snake spirit) was once a human with a strong need to complete an important task in their previous life. At the time of a naga's birth, their past given name is said to appear in the minds of their parents, this is the only remnant they have of their former life. Other than that, the only thing they have to rely on is their instincts and chance to take care of their old regrets. Until that happens, their spirits will never be at peace.
Jade, Clan Head of the Naga is content with his life, but a meeting with a mysterious stranger changes everything. A family portrait from his past life makes its way back to him and restores these painful memories. He has to leave behind the life he worked so hard to build for himself in an attempt to repair the past. Using forbidden time travel magic, he returns to his former life as King Jade of Centellia.
