Seventeen year old Skylar Midnight always thought she'd been an ordinary girl; she knows exactly what to expect when it comes to a person with causalities. Going through high school without much of a second glance, she knows more than anyone else that life is hard, and sometimes it doesn't get any better. It's always been that way for her, ever since the night her mom allegedly died in a car accident when she was only four years old. After that, nothing was ever the same. She lived her life in constant wondering how different things would've been if her mom was still alive. Hoping her father was always a part of her life; Skylar never really knew what love was. But all of this starts to change when extraordinarily handsome, alarmingly mysterious, and profoundly different Derek Winters moves to town and quite literally knocks Skylar off of her feet. Realizing her family comes from a long line of immortals with special powers was enough for Skylar to open her eyes. The table in Skylar's plans start to turn and emotions start to push through the surface when she realizes she may not be as ordinary as she thought, and leaving Belmount may not be as easy as she always wanted it to be. Shocking truths are revealed; new people come to town, important plots are unleashed, betrayal and trust and loyalty start to surface, and Skylar is left wondering how to deal with it all. But what happens when she starts to fall in love with the one person she knows she shouldn't? When she creates friendships and relationships with people like no other? When her father moves to town and she's left with facing the reality that nothing is ever going to be the same? When she realizes her mom was murdered and the person that killed her won't stop until they have Skylar and all of her friends and family dead as well? Will Skylar learn to love and trust the people around her before its too late? Or will her inability to see the worst in people ruin the world and life as she knows it?

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

It all started with a simple question: "If you could do it again... Would you? If you knew that things were going to end this way... Would you still do all of it again? Or would you run from it? Save yourself?" Such a simple question, though maybe not so simple. For when a question like that was asked... A curse was born. The story follows eighteen-year-old Nicholas Fraiser, or just Nicki for short, who moved to America from England when he was about fourteen years old. After moving around a lot because of his family's work, Nicki finally settled in a town called Phanta, where he will be finishing out his senior year. Phanta is a beautiful seaside town, surrounded by the ocean, though a silhouette of an island can very faintly be seen out in the distance. This island holds many secrets and tragedies that Nicki will soon be aware of. Tragedies he may have at one point been a part of. There's something more to Nicki than he realizes. Little does he know, moving to Phanta and meeting three girls was just another step of setting history repeating back in motion. Though... This was set in stone from the very beginning-- from the moment Nicki was born into this world. A path was already laid out in front of him. "You've fought long and hard. I think it's high time you rest. You deserve to. I know you're tired."
