As Darren tries desperately to get Alice and her mother to believe his far-fetched claims, something sinister stirs in the dark and one particularly painful memory keeps returning to haunt him. Even in his dreams, he hears the voice. And it repeats what it said to him before, over and over again.

I had good instincts and they were screaming to steer clear of this guy. Why? Because he would break my heart. Why is that all the best relationships happen at the strangest of times? Laurel meets Trey inside of a Juvenile Detention Centre and the two of them become closer than anything. For Laurel, Trey was the first friend in her life. But for Trey, he intended for Laurel to be his last. Trey is heartbroken when Laurel leaves the Centre and moves away from town, never to see him again. Laurel has runaway from her foster parents, changed her name and even the colour of her hair.
