In this modern world where magic doesn’t exist, a young woman finds hope in the incredible mind of a fellow patient.

Astrid has always been number one in everything, but slashes her wrists when the pressure to be perfect becomes too much. This leads to a long stay in the psych ward of a hospital where she meets Charlie, a delusional young man who is convinced he has magical powers.

For Charlie, in the skeptical Astrid he sees a kindred spirit. He believes that it is up to him to show her that magic is something real, something to believe in.
