Gerard Way has just started his first day back to school in twelfth grade. Happy to be out of his house after the excruciating summer break spent with his alcoholic parents, he thinks everything will be better. Then the school bully, Jake Shears shows up, and everything is back to chaos. Neglected and alone, he feels invisible. As if he's just a toy created for the world to play with, instead of the fragile, hurting human being he is. But, there's a new boy, Frank Iero, who he soon meets and realizes he's not like the other kids in his school, Frank is kind, respectful, funny and cute. Gerard soon finds himself falling for Frank, but that just adds more pain to his life because he knows Frank would never feel the same for him. Having that and all his other problems, he soon finds himself falling into an even darker depression.

Gerard is new to the school.. he finally got kicked out of his old one, now being forced to go to school with Mikey, not that's it's a bad thing. unlike what people would thing, Gerard and Mikey get along great..it's just other people that bugs Gerard. he sticks out like a sore thumb, hes soft spoken and has pretty feminine features as well as dressing up in pastel clothes (skirts). he gets into fights a lot and he's not afraid to stick up for himself but it gets tiring so he normally lets his bully's do whatever they need. at his new school he meets Frank. he's known to not let people push him the wrong way and he'll call you out on your bullshit. Frank finds Gerard...uh, interesting. it's hard to tell what Gerard is thinking most times and that really bugs Frank. Gerard tends to be in his own and Frank wants to change that...but how can he? Gerard will forever be known as the "cross dresser" and Frank will always be seen as "too good" for Gerard.
