Emilia Cartridge was like any normal 18-year-old girl. Until her whole world turned upside down. Her mother and father King Samuel and Queen Kathrine are forcing her into a fixed marriage with a guy she doesn't even know. 
      Emilia desires to be a regular teenage girl and not the pristine princess of France. With all the boring meetings and responsibilities that come with the crown. 
        So she decides to run away to the U.S. and become a regular teenage girl. But it doesn't turn out to be exactly how she expected. There were bullies, jocks, nerds, gossip girls, cheerleaders, etc. She was the only one that stood out. But she meets a boy that she instantly has a spark with. 
         Then something happens at home that forces her to return and leave her new life. What will happen between Emilia and the boy? What is she feeling? What will the future hold? What happened at home? And what secret is this boy hiding?

Her father, brother, grandmother, cousin, soon-to-be in-laws and her boyfriend are trying hard to get her to see sense. They just don't know if they're trying too hard or not at all.
