Just a simple love story #1

✵ ✵ ✵

"Ellie my love, I'm beyond glad I got drunk that night and found you. I can't and won't remember a time without you. Sun can't shine with clouds in the way and I would spend the rest dying to live with you another day."

Nathan Vermont doesn't plan on spending another Christmas working for his fathers business, and now that he's twenty one, he finally has the chance to spend the holidays like every other family in London. But just before the clocks turns making his birthday official, his tyrant of a father sends him off to a week-long conference all the way in Toronto, Canada. Though of course, the infamous Vermont luck strikes, and postpones the meeting TWO MONTHS later than planned, and strands Nate in the middle of a Canadian winter.

Ellie Maskell finally thinks shes hit a big break when a local pub invites her to a spot in their open mic night, a place where she can rock the stage after years of waiting and training. To her, music is a dream that has yet to come true, yet she still holds hope. But when she is harassed by a drunk, Englishman on her first day in the limelight, she does the only logical thing she can think of; hit the dude in the head with her guitar.

Luck may not be on the side of there two, but fate could be.
