They say the ones who die go to heaven or just grow up again. People who are bad step foot in the opposite of heaven we dragons no longer name.
Centuries ago dragons had a ruler of all the land . His name was King Droys. He cast a spell with an amulet that he found. He was destined to use it for good and help all creatures but he didn't he turned back on all the dragons and betrayed us all only one dragon escaped and that was my alpha who is now old and tired.
Generations and generations have gone by soon it's my time to be alpha. What am I going to do. It's my time to shine and do good but I look up to King Droys I want to show him what I'm made of.

The dragons have come and gone since the Pliocene epoch when Wooly Mammoths roamed with humans during the ice age. For many of the I and E generation in the Americas and parts of Europe, it was something to avoid being taken by them to their world. But many knew the stories they told, the things they saw and missed, and in this world of social media, the child coming home, reborn as a shifter. For 16-year-old Nathan that was his reality. For 11 years he's not only avoided getting grabbed but helped others avoid a similar fate. But a black dragon was watching him grabbing him only to lay low in the nearby woods, something they did to pick out who'd they take. It did that for 10 years, more than 3 times longer than usual. His actions and the amount of time he had avoided them made him a sort of celebrity in his town in the midwest. But one day that black dragon made its decision, he was to be her hatchling. When they're usually marked the child could turn to protective mode, running from home to prevent drawing attention to other children for the picking, and that's what he did, right to where they last landed. The Elder Dragons are an old race, as old as the magic that permeates this world. They are the oldest of races and in the times of fire and lava at the formation of this world, they were there, and they developed hard scales, harder than diamond, and wings to fly above the fire and death in the burning world below. Then the fire went and the lava cooled, and the Earth was still. And the Elders remained. The ice spread from the north, coating the Earth in frost, and the Elders developed fire as a way to remind themselves of their beginnings and keep warm on the merciless ice. Then, as the seasons of the earth changed and the humans came from the trees and built on the land, the Elders developed their ability to change into these new creatures and back into their true selves at will. Some split off at this point, becoming dumber and cruder, and lost the title of Elder. As the humans became smarter and were able to wield the magic of this world, the Darkest of all, the darkness without a name, came unto this world, and the Elders met their match. In the first time in millennia the Elder Dragons were afraid. They were driven to near extinction, until they retreated from this earth, and flew away, lost, leaving their cousins, the dragons, behind. But one remains. She doesn't know the secrets of her race, the secrets of the world she finds herself in. I have funny dreams with bipeds but I have a world to explore. Mommy still has to teach me how to fly and breathe fire but I want to know many things and I am very curious. One day a fireball crashed in the forest and a little biped like in my dreams was crying. I brought it home secretly so that it would not cry anymore. I didn't want mom to find my human doll! Children, one dragon and the other human will have to leave the wilderness to find civilization. It will take a lot of ingenuity and courage for our little dragoness to survive in our modern world in the age of the internet and find her dragon mom captured by soldiers. She will have to learn a lot, hide from new enemies and make allies if she ever wants to find her. She will also have to make terrible choices too early and too hard for 6 year olds. Inside her, a terrible sleeping power must not be awakened. Doors, universes of other dark and oppressive dimensions, saturated: I risk nothing? I risk something? What is this darkness? I am afraid!
