In Verity's mind not much is important.
She see's the world as it is, people are people and everyone is born to die and she does not see much point in trying to relate to others when the whole world is filled with lies, mistrust and change. Yes she talks to people and is on friendly terms with some but the relationships mean very little to her, and she has no real faith in them.
Photos capture everything, they can last forever, but can Verity find happiness and stability in something other than her moments preserved on film?
