The Blackburn family looks perfect to the public eye. Two beautiful, loving parents, along with three young, healthy children. However, it's not like that behind closed doors.

Aspen Blackburn grew up alongside her brother and sister, who were treated with royalty and luxury. Aspen was shunned. She was abused, and went days without eating since she was five years old. Ten years later, they kicked her out of the house, told others that she died.

They faked their own daughter's death.

In reality, they sent her away. Bought her a house, pays the bills until she's eighteen and can legally sign a contract and pay off her current lifestyle.

Two weeks have passed since Aspen transferred into this school, and she's automatically shunned, again. Her ice cold gaze can make anybody shiver upon eye contact, in which everybody steers the other way from her. To them, Aspen looks.. violent.

That statement was proven when Kaden Nix, the school's rich boy, had attempted to make a perverted move on a classmate. Aspen got defensive. She got so defensive on the young girl's behalf that she punched Kaden square in the jaw, trying to make a point.

The entire school has avoided her before that, even more so afterwards. However, she managed to strike someone's eye.

Kenya Evans is the school mystery. He's shut himself out from the rest of his school, only opening up to his sister and his best friend. He's pale, but handsome. Majority of the girls like him, but he never shows interest in relationships, or romance in general.

Can Kenya save Aspen from her past, from her family, or will he fail to accomplish that mission and lose her forever?
