The story had chilled her to the bone, now something is very wrong in their new house and she needs to find out what!

|| COMPLETED || I want to be ready for college, but I'll be leaving everything behind. I don't want to forget my mom, my friends, or the memories made. Then again, I want to move on, run away from the heart break following me. I want to be free, I need to be free. For everything that I know, college could be a restart for highschool. A time where I don't make mistakes or where bad things don't happen, but I know they will. Though focusing on the negative won't lead me anywhere. Sadly though, that's all I ever learned to focus on. Learning things about my family that disgust me, learning about family members I didn't even know existed. It's all new, like morphing into a new body, you have to learn how to control. Sadly I don't know how to control myself, I can't control my emotions. I want to be ready for college, I am. The Sinborn
Being different, people throw that around like it means something. Like it's normal. Like it's safe. But I'm not just different. I'm alone. No name for what I am. No others like me. Not vampire. A New Beginning
There are no rules here. No laws. No one to tell you what's right or wrong-because right and wrong don't mean much anymore. In this world, the dead don't stay dead. Time doesn't move the way it should. One second stretches forever, and the next disappears before you can breathe. The world feels... paused. Broken. Caught between what once was and what refuses to end. It's beautiful, in a terrifying kind of way. Endless skies. Cities half-swallowed by fog. Echoes of laughter that don't belong to anyone alive. And somewhere in the middle of it all-Maeve. She walks through the stillness like she belongs there, even though she doesn't. Her steps are quiet, steady, like she's listening to something the rest of the world can't hear. There's a sadness in her, yes-but also calm, like she's already seen everything there is to see. Maeve didn't choose to come here. She was taken. Dropped into a new community that feels more like a cage than a home. But she doesn't fight it-not at first. She watches. Learns. The shadows whisper secrets, and she listens. Something about this place is wrong. She can feel it. The people act strange. The air hums with hidden energy, like the world itself is holding its breath. And Maeve can't help but wonder- if death isn't the end here... then what is?
Evolution
There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. They said the world was ending, but it didn't start with fire or war. It began with a storm-just like any other. But this time, it didn't stop. The rain fell for days, then weeks, and then came the flood that drowned everything. When the sun finally broke through the clouds, people thought it was over. They thought it was hope. But that hope was a lie. The sun scorched the land. Insects bred in the rotting water. Plague spread like wildfire. Water became scarce, food even scarcer. They said Mother Earth was angry, and I believed them. I did everything to survive. Even if it meant relying on a filthy, twisted man for bread. He preyed on girls like me-young, desperate, orphaned. He fed us, clothed us, and in return, demanded we sell our bodies. He called it "the price of protection." Men came to us like vultures. They stripped away our innocence and left us hollow. And then, one winter night, starving people stormed our hideout. They came with knives and desperation. I threw myself in front of the youngest girl when one lunged to stab her. I took the blade meant for her. As my body went cold, I felt no fear. Just peace. Finally, I thought. This nightmare is over. But when I opened my eyes again... I was in my bed. Warm. Dry. Dressed in pajamas. It hadn't been a nightmare. It had been real. And now, it's happening all over again. But this time, I won't be weak. This time, I won't be used. This time... I'll survive. No matter the cost.
To Heal Is To Hurt
what if healing someone gave you their pain? and what if taking someone's pain meant you were permanently stuck with it? A wish was made, and the world was given these conditions after years of healers being constantly used. what happens to those in pain? what happens to those who wish to have no pain? In this world lived two sisters, May and Fea. May was always the more cold one distancing herself as a way to prevent pain, while Fea sparkles with a childlike joy wherever she goes (maybe because she's six). But Fea had never once had a moment of peace, vomiting blood, passing out, and that horrible uncontrollable shaking. It's becoming fatal. but after everything May has lost, her dreams, her time, her true love, she can't risk losing her sister too. but would helping her take her own life or just make both of them suffer? I was inspired to write this story off of a big event that happened in my life, I won't share to many details for privacy reasons, but for about a year I was very close with my stepsister, then some events occurred and I was never allowed to see her again. so, to pair with my love for dark fantasy, real world experiences, and desire to write, I give you To Heal Is To Hurt. enjoy!Complete
