**#1 in #Darkmoon** A walk in the forest, that's what I need. A stressful day at school and a walk in the forest will relax me. This is what I do all the time. Every day without fail, I take a hour walk in the forest behind my home after school. This time something happened that I didn't even expect in these woods. At first I heard a low growl and thought it was just a dog and an owner. Then it got louder, sounding like it was getting closer. My head jerked in a direction where a twig snapped, causing my heart to start beating faster then normal. It was a bit dark in the forest, considering it was winter. Then that's when I saw it, the red eyes coming from the bushes. My feet were frozen to the spot, I wanted to run but my feet didn't want to move. I felt a hand go on my shoulder, turning my head, I saw a man, probably in his early twenties. ''Run!'' He whispered but loud enough for it to be a shout. I looked at the eyes and a hand grabbed mine, pulling me off in a different direction. This isn't the best way to meet someone but what happens when they see more of each other? Have you ever wondered if the creatures that lurk in the dark are real? Like vampires or werewolves? Well one of those is I know this because my dads one. Damn right my dads a werewolf but no I'm not. I'm Zarina daughter of the pack leader, half werewolf half wolf, daughter of a wolf, unknown to the world and out cast of my pack. When I was young (12 years of age to be exact) all the girls and boys were turning into wolves for the first time in a cage. Each child was in a cage including me, whilst my friends and classmates screamed in pain I sat there not feeling a thing with my father in wolf form just out side my cage waiting for me to turn, as much as I waited it did not come. The night past and pack members were gathering for a council meeting. Two days past and I was out cast my own father turned his back in me. I was on the street alone as a twelve year old with wolf ears and eyes. That was 2010 five years have past now and I'm being hunted.

"Who's there," I can't breath. I'm always looking over my shoulder ever since- I can't think about the now. I have to run but where, back to Jake? No I can't, everything is different now. My life has always been terrible. I was always bullied at school. I don't know why, it just seemed that people didn't like my presence. The guys would beat me up and I'd get in trouble when I defended myself, for the teachers never saw what they did. The girls would trick me, making me think they liked me and laughing at me because of it. I was always in the principle's office for one reason or another, but I wasn't a bad student. I actually got really good grades. To make matters worse, my mother wanted nothing to do with me. She'd lock me in the basement, sometimes for days, with no food or warmth.
