"Hang tight." He held onto my hand. "Ah, Fuck!" I screamed. The pain was spreading throughout my body. "Henry, hurry up! God dammit!" He demanded. Henry stabbed my bite with the antidote. "Fucking bitch!" I yelled out. I passed out cold.
POV JOHNNY:
Her body was stiff. Henry gave her the antidote a while ago. Her breathing was harsh and rapid.
I sat there, balling my eyes out for hours. She looked in a horrible state.
Her ribs were visible from her shirt. The bags under her eyes made her look dead. Her nails were chipping from white nail polish. Her bones trying to escape her skin.
Zach and Henry rushed in. I wiped my eyes. "What's wrong?" I asked as Zach typed harshly. "Her blood pressure is going down fast." He said. Henry shook her to wake up.
"Her brain levels are normal but she's having a bad nightmare." Henry looked at the vitals. "Fuck." Zach cursed. "Wake her up, Zach!" I said. "I'm trying." He panicked.
I looked at the window at saw her twitch. She woke up taking in a big gasp of air. She scratched her neck like she was getting choked.
I rushed to the room. "Zach!" I yelled. I grabbed her shoulders. "Breathe, baby. Breathe!" I looked into her eyes. She took in small breaths.

Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in.
