A lot has changed in the town of Raymond, Washington ever since Andrew Sager left for Duke University five years ago. His high school sweetheart, Poppy Benbrook, had moved on with the person he had least expected, and it threw Andrew for a loop. How will they react when they see each other at their high school reunion?
The Last Five Years follows the two totally different lives of Poppy and Drew, and how they figure out how to not be a couple when that's all they had ever been. Poppy struggles with moving on from her relationship, and her love for Drew. Drew has to cope with leaving everything, including the love of his life, behind.
Can these two be friends, or is all hope lost for Raymond's favorite couple?
