Dylan Cody Parker seems to be the typical “cool kid” in school. He is the captain of the soccer team and the nicest guy around. No one really knows him though, only one person. Nate Simmons is Dylan’s best friend and is the only person who knows anything about the Parker family outside of school. Everyone thinks Dylan has this perfect life when in reality, his dad left his family when he was young to be with his mistress who turned out pregnant, leaving Dylan, his little sister, Anna Grace, and their mom, Diane, to fend for themselves. His father, Thomas Mars, owns a big company called MARS and has 4 other children that he is a great father to, but where does Dylan and Anna Grace fit in? Thomas and Dylan don’t get along but when something unexpected happens, they might just have to get along for Anna Grace and the rest of their families sake. Will Dylan finally come around to get closer with his father or will they ever become close? Will everyone at school find out the real Dylan? We’ll see.

"You should care, Dylan. You would still be living in the back of a car, stealing from Seven Eleven! Is that what you want?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "Four Musketeers." That's what they called them. If they weren't all together they were two on two. And they give zero fucks about life. The Adopted one The Bad boy The Player The Best friend Dylan is like most troubled girls. She doesn't care about her grades, she skips school, hangs with the wrong crowds, and hates her parents. But of course there's a reason for all of this. Dylan is adopted. Dylan has always struggled with being adopted and she tends to fight everything in life. Many bad memories cause her to be the way she is. She desperately wants to forget her past, including some bad things she experienced, but the memories stay stuck in her mind. Dylan has three best friends who help her get by. The only three people she 100% trust and doesn't like to. They all have their own problems and lies they tell, but they help each other through it all. Especially her boyfriend Vince, who would do absolutely anything for her. He would die a thousand times over before anyone hurt Dylan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Dylan's not just my whole life, she makes my life whole. Some days she's the only reason I get out of bed. Without her in my life there is no point in living. She's like the air I breathe. Without her I can't live. She's my best friend and I will love her to the day I die." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This summer Dylan gets the opportunity to do what every guidance counselor has claimed she's always wanted to do . . . split up her family. Will she realize splitting up her family won't help anything? Or will she just not care? After all she was abandoned once. An outgoing country boy. A wallflower jock. And a completely off-limits relationship. ** Aspiring artist Kade Turner is the new kid at school, imported into the big city from countryside town Greensboro. With his accent and his dad being the insanely popular coach of the varsity football team, Kade had no hopes of going unnoticed. But, no worries. Although he doesn't blend in easily like the brush strokes on his many canvasses, he had no problems making friends with everyone. Well, everyone except this one guy. For some reason Atticus, the Running Back of the football team and his brand new stepbrother, wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Kade doesn't understand why and is determined to get closer to him for his Dad's sake. But when Kade finally finds out what Atticus' problem is, rather than solving anything it only complicates their 'brothers' status even more.
