Another high school book. Yay!

Ever since she was eight, Josie Reyes' life has been absolute shit. She's had to grow up and act like her parents as soon as she turned fifteen. The only people she truly cares about is her dying grandfather, her little brother and her closest friends.

As a dare created during a small get-together, Josie applies for one of the most prestigious universities in the world: Oxford. She never expected to be considered, but Oxford never expected an entrance essay like hers.

A story about a teenage girl whose soul has been hardened by time and disappointment, but fights to keep her loved ones and her sanity, and explores tempting opportunities rarely presented to her.

The new girl declares war against the five most powerful seniors in school. ⋆☆⋆ Sophie Olsen had a simple plan after moving across the entire country to Carsonville, Massachusetts ― to pass her A.P. courses, and emerge unscathed by drama in her senior year. But the second Sophie sets foot in Carsonville High School, strange dynamics reveal themselves. Eyes that trail and whispers that linger. Long histories and rivers of bad blood. A reigning group of five students, with more power and malice than any group of teenagers should possess. When these bullies target her newfound friends, Sophie revises her senior-year plan ― to taking down the high school Monarchy with her bare hands. Along the way she finds laughter, tears, and perhaps a lesson about doing the right thing. ⋆☆⋆ [ Featured on @TeenFiction's 'Soul Deep' List December 2021 ] [ @YARomance's School Council | Book of the Month April 2022 ] [ The Carsonville Chronicles #1.
