Alexander Walker is a boy living in Manhattan, he is called gifted because  of his iq and goes to a school for kids like him but that's not what matters, not in this world not when there are beings called alphas in, our world we read about them in comics and watch them on Netflix and in blockbuster movies, in his it's all real life . but these are not the "superheros" he know and pay good money for no its a little different.  

everyone is used to alphas and what they do, to the point that they aren't really  interesting they are just there, and Alexander is now differnt...or wasn't until the day he met the negative alpha  lucifer  

now Alex must enter a world of secrets, destruction,and yes a little  romance and see who still stands on the end
