Reality. Deception. Lies.
The world was engineered to be perfect. How else would you describe a place that had everything you could possibly want at the click of a button? But, a virus corrupted the virtual reality world, leaving millions dead and the majority of the survivors infertile. The human race is facing its hardest challenge yet...
Laurel Silver, a seventeen-year-old medical intern, is one of the few people who was exposed to the virus when it was released and lived to tell the tale, unbeknownst to the controlling government and their lethal Enforcers. Her secret is only known to her older brother, Viktor, a firm believer of the Enforcers' mantra, her younger brother, Niko, a permanent invalid thanks to the virus and her friend, Chase, an expert in technology which is a dangerous combination in a world where knowing the slightest thing about it could get you killed...
Despite having successfully having hidden these secrets for five years, things start to come to head when, for the first time since the end of the world, a man is murdered. Laurel and her possible future husband, Gavin, end up investigating a secret that could get them killed or worse, kidnapped by the government. But really, Laurel wants to know the secret behind the mysterious boy in her dreams who saved her life in the virtual reality world all those years ago...

Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe.
