Every few years, the tribes gather at the winter sanctuary, a massive collection of caves up North and send their children on a quest. This year, it's Kateri's turn to leave her family and follow the mysterious tattoo on her arm that is supposed to guide her to her destiny. She has always had her sister, grandmother, or parents to help her along, but on this journey it seems like she will be all alone.
Captain Claude St. James has been stuck at twenty - five for nearly forty summers, and has loved it, until now. Now, he wants to experience the next stages of his life and the only way to break the curse is to meet his one true love - the one person in the world who can give him a mortal life filled with happiness. The only problem is that he has got a princess who needs his hand in marriage to prevent the kingdom going up in flames, and a half beast who is reluctant to help Claude in breaking the curse.
