After landing the role of her school paper's advice columnist, Summer Queen could not have been happier. Solving complex interpersonal problems for close friends and family had been her thing, and now was the perfect chance for Summer to showcase her real talent (although anonymously) through the school's paper.

All is well until Summer's paths cross with Dean Hart, who's got the ability to sweep Summer right off her feet -not that she would ever admit that to anyone out loud. Not after the countless numbers of letters she's received about boys that are brainless as jellyfish, or have brains as thick as an Oxford dictionary.

Most of the time, Summer's guide to Swooning Boys comes to save the day, but can she learn to take her own advice, and find true love at last?

"No matter your problems, face them with a bright smile and a bucket of chocolate ice-cream," nana once wisely told me. At the time, I was barely twelve and thought that I could summon a unicorn if I just believed in myself. A decade later, despite my massive student loans and almost nonexistent love life, that piece of advice was all I needed to maintain good mental health and earn myself some lovely padded hips. Little did I know that a horrific monster was lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike and scare the living daylights out of my naïve and helpless self. 'There she goes again with the metaphors and literary witchcraft...' Did you really have to make an entrance right now, conscience? I was about to get to the exciting part. As I was saying, that hideous monster popped out of nowhere and there was no ice-cream bucket big enough to vanquish it. Hence, I only reacted the way an average person such as myself would. 'You gathered your forces and made it creep back into the shadows? It realized that you were too nice and boring to be messed with? Or did Prince Charming arrive, on his white horse of course, and saved little helpless you?' Nope, not exactly and definitely not. I ran away and left everything and everyone I ever cared about behind. 'Remind me again why we're having an emotional trip down memory lane?' Because it's about time I went back and fixed everything. - 🏆 1st place winner in The Duck Awards (Romance Category) - 🏆 1st place winner in The Chaos Awards 8 (Humor Category) - 🏆 2nd place winner in THE ROMANCE READS CONTESTS (Lovers Category) - 🏆 2nd place winner in The Sparkle and Shine Awards 2K19 (Romcom Category) - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's Romance - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's Cupid - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's NA - ✨ Featured on Wattpad's Multicultural -

Excerpt-- Take a breath, Lana. Everything will be okay. My stomach churned when I noticed his perfectly combed chestnut hair walking through the corridor by himself, just like any other day. I basically jumped out of the bush, nearly tripping in the process. With no time to fix my hair, I rushed in front of him causing him to stop. "Who are you?" He asked, staring deeply into my eyes, practically making me melt. "I'm Lana Hart, we're in the same grade," acting like a robot reciting the speech I had a plan in my head. "Could you please accept this letter?" I bowed my head down like an idiot, may I add waiting for him to take the letter. Soft panic aroused in my chest. Please let this one good thing happen to me. ---- Charming, quiet, intimidating, interesting, smart; Declan Novak was the perfect student at Yvon High School. It was as if he had the 'golden touch'. Literally. Every ground he walked on was like rolling out the red carpet for him. He had his whole life planned out; graduate as valedictorian, attend a prestigious college, and then take over his father's multimillion-dollar company-- All until Lana Hart came into the picture, love letter in hand with admiration in her eyes. Lana, little Miss Sunshine, spent most of high school crushing hard on Declan, the rude yet amazingly attractive Greek God of the school. She rarely spent time on her studies, but now that it's senior year, Lana is frantically running out of time to improve her grades for nursing school. That, and getting Declan to notice her. Will the optimistic Lana be able to win over crush's heart? Or will Declan ignore her like he does with every other girl? She'd die for love. He didn't believe in love. *** From reading The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood, to watching 10 Things I Hate About You, to listening to You are in Love by Taylor Swift, Emily Kingsley's life is a sum of moments she has spent after romance. Watching, reading, listening or daydreaming, romance has never failed to comfort this high school junior of 17 years of age. She has her own issues: self-sabotage, lack of focus in studying, randomly popping up acne and not loving the way she looked. But she could forget all that as long as she is reading about two people falling in love and finding their happily ever after. Emily wants a romance for herself too, and she knows just the person for it. Landon McArther, a senior in her school. According to Emily, Landon is handsome, sophisticated, well-spoken and unlike any of the immature boys of her class who didn't get her at all. Landon was everything Emily has always dreamed about and moreover he appreciates her for the person she is. But there's just a teeny-tiny problem. Landon McArther has a girlfriend. While that wasn't in Emily's bingo card, she hopes, prays, and longs for the day Landon will be single (because he is Emily's soulmate, and he has to be) and awaits her chance for romance. At the same time, her seatmate in chemistry, the rumored delinquent, grumpy asshole Nathan Callahan, makes fun of her romantic dreams. Can Emily ever find true love? Completed. "Do you have any idea how damn frustrating you are?" He trapped me between him and the wall. Stubbornly, I looked squarely at him, "You say this like it's news to you." He pursed his lips, clenched his jaw, and stared at me with darkened eyes before he closed the gap between us. I stared at him squarely as I felt his body heat radiated off me, my lips parted and my breathing picked up a notch. He placed one hand on the wall and brought his lips an inch away from mine as the other hand trailed up my arms, "I am going to make you feel my frustration." I ran my finger along his jaw and dared him with my eyes, "I'm Mila," I grinned, "You can try but we both know you won't succeed." He ran his thumb over my bottom lip, "Don't take my love for you as weakness," he stated and captured my lips with a fiery kiss. The road to love for Mila and Mitchell wasn't easy, but they finally reached their destination after many bumps along the way. Blissfully in love, they set off on another journey together but instead of the Highway, they hit the high seas. However, love and life aren't always smooth sail and they learn that when they embark on their adult life after college. Mitchell is trying to prove to his father he is worthy of handling the grand Clarke Empire one day while Mila is determined to make her mark in the medical world. Two strong personalities have finally accepted they love each other but both are set in their ways and stubborn with unbreakable egos. Can their love weather storms in their path or will things like jealousy, insecurity, and family stand in their way to happily ever after?
