In deep thoughtfulness, I didn't notice the car approaching me with full speed, my eyes widened and my legs refused to move. I was frozen. On spur of a moment, I was shoved to the ground away from the car by strong athletic arms holding me as we fell on the sidewalk. The car horn echoed in the empty road as it passed while the stranger whispered one word that rang through my ears
