When Emma Christiansen was enrolled into a former delinquent school, it wasn't at all what she expected. She's there to figure out who's behind the trafficking and cartel by posing as a fierce, firecracking rebellion of a student - which is most definitely not her description.

She gets pulled in deep, too deep to climb her way back up. And when she finally learns the dark truths about this school, and the task she is trying to fulfill, there's no way she can fight her way through their high walls to get the hell out.

So what happens when she has to stay, learn to defend herself - and the baddest of the bad find out about her little secrets? There's more to every person than what meets the eye, and Emma finds out that there's much, much more to him than his reckless behavior and brooding ways.

He decides he's going to teach her how to be a true misfit, and keep hr many secrets - but only if she teaches him how to love.

Emma found love to be a myth long ago, but decided to make the deal for her and her brother's sake. She's had her fair share of heartbreak, and the guy that she loves sees her as nothing more than unbiological family. Can she possibly learn to change that?

Love, heartbreak, lies and betrayal all align to make Emma's life one hell of an experience.

In which I fall in love with my brother's best friend. ***** "Don't pretend like you don't feel anything." His voice is low, sending shivers down my spine. "What do you mean?" "You know damn well what I mean." "I don't know what you're talking about." I pretend to ignore him, flipping some pages in my book. "Come on. I have all these assignments waiting. Aren't you supposed to teach me tonight?" "It depends on what you want me to teach." He smirks, his voice sounding even more dangerous. ***** I thought that my brother was the most popular guy in school, but as soon as I step into my university life, I realize how wrong I was. Meet Vaughn Cooper, his best friend. The guy is the epitome of every girl's dream. Godlike handsome. The quarterback. He's got the looks, and he's got the brain. Come on, he's got the scholarship to one of the most prestigious universities in the country, while I have just barely passed the entrance examination after long years of struggle during high school. How could a guy who worked that hard and deserves nothing more but adoration be labeled as a bad boy? Yeah, the answer is simple. The moment we lock eyes, I realize something as I stare into those piercing, amber eyes. He's not every girl's dream. He's every girl's nightmare. In my case, MY nightmare. Calm down, heart. Our story hasn't even started. ***** THE SPENCERS SERIES BOOK #1 © 2020 Anya Jayvyn. All Rights Reserved. Alejandra Martinez had a perfect life until she lost her mom and childhood to a violent tragedy that she witnessed. As a result, her dad fell into many patterns of abuse, leaving her to deal with the aftermath of it all. She continued life as best as she could with little hope for anything and trust in absolutely nothing, turning into someone her mother wouldn't recognize, doing whatever she needs to do to cope as well as to protect herself. During her junior year at Lower East Side High School, she meets Gabriel Santiago. He's known throughout the halls for his association with the most dangerous gang in the city, as well as his ice cold demeanor, all at the age of 17. He's as heartless as it gets - at least that's what everyone thinks. The two know nothing about each other. Despite that, they can't seem to hate each other more. But as time goes on, and they continue to cross paths, something changes. They begin to realize that there's a whole different side of the other that nobody knows about, yet it's the side that they might not hate about one another. That's what makes it even more complicated. As they each dig deeper past the facade the other has created over years of tragedy and destruction, it becomes dangerous for everyone involved. Gaby thought that she would spend grade 11 the same way she spent every other year: trying to hold back her best friend Silver from getting into fist fights, and listening to Blaine ramble on about the script he was writing for the school play. What she didn't expect was to fall in love with a mysterious boy in a leather jacket named Ian. But high school is a lot more than a romance novel. Drama between friends, bullies and parents makes life extremely complicated. So when Ian mysteriously disappears, Gaby finds herself even more lost than she was already. With her world crumbling around her, she is forced to learn how to pick up the pieces and rebuild on her own. Description By: @Emmalynn22
