Albus and Scorpius have been best friends since the beginning but after Scorpius and Rose start dating Albus gets left in the dust. Now a 5th year in Hogwarts, Albus gets paired with Nikoli, the class clown and Teddy's best friend. The outgoing goofball starts to make an impression on Albus,who's very quiet. As they start to get to know each other Albus develops feelings he never thought he'd have and tries to keep it a secret. But Nikoli has his own secrets to hide. Although he seems very happy and outgoing, he has a dark past that keeps him from loving.
