In Love, is it Destiny or Free Will? It's up to you which will you believe; However, there is a phenomena in this world called the "red string". According to rumors when the time is right, a "red string will appear on a person's ring finger, it connects two people who are fated to be together. The "red string" is only visible for those who are connected by it, no matter how hard people struggled they cannot see it unless it meant was for them. Some people believe that it's God's guidance to prevent broken hearts, an assurance for those who are afraid of being hurt. Others are sceptical about the phenomena, it's just an imaginary pillar for those who believe in Destiny.

Once upon a time-wait, that sounds too much like a fairytale. In ancient China, the red string is said to symbolize fate and destiny. If two people are connected by it, they are bound to meet. "Don't look at me like that," Xuan Yu shot back, glaring at the gaping Shaoruo. The two young men had been locked in a staring contest for the past two minutes, both bewildered by the red string connecting their pinkies. It was a bizarre sight, the vibrant thread standing out against their contrasting appearances-Shaoruo, the polished prince with his immaculate attire, and Xuan, the wild spirit draped in distinct robes. Shaoruo let out an exasperated sigh, which only made Xuan's fiery demeanor flare even more. He rested his palm on his cheek, elbow propped on his leg. "Unbelievable. Why am I stuck with you? This stupid red string..." "I could say the same thing, you imbecile prince," Xuan spat, frustration evident in his voice as he tugged at the string on his pinky, only to find it stubbornly knotted. His eyes narrowed, a mix of anger and disbelief swirling within them. "This is ridiculous! I didn't ask for this connection, and I certainly don't want to be tied to someone like you." But fate doesn't care if it's a good match. And destiny loves to play with fire. --------------- {Under the Same Roof RIP} -Hey, Rou here. I want to clarify that this story was born from MXTX's novels TGCF and MDZS. After reading Dustin Thao's books, I gave danmei a try. They are life changing... literally. Damn Red String only took inspiration from the dynamics but most of the elements in my story are from my own experiences/organic ideas.
