After one night when her stepfather gets into trouble with the law, 13 year old Charlotte Burkins gets sent to live in a foster home for two months.
But all of that changes when she finds out that she has a real family willing to take her. A family that consists of her real dad, a new stepmom and four older brothers.

When she moves into her new home she can't help but close everyone off. Her family and friends see through her act and they want to help her.
