"Everything is falling apart, bit by bit. And there's nothing I can do about it."

Oakley's life is a little like an avalanche. Her dad drinks, her mum is failing to keep it all together and her brother... Well, nobody really talks about Max anymore. Not since he died. School isn't helping much, either. Even though she has friends, Oakley feels alone.

Until Christian shows up. With a sunny, outgoing personality and an unusual perspective of the world, he may just be the friend that Oakley needs- not necessarily the friend that she wants.

Together, they try and unlock the secrets that Oakley's family are hiding, and maybe understand why things fell apart in the first place. And Christian is on a mission to find the mother who gave him into care, and why she left him all those years ago.

So begins two friends' quest of understanding the world and themselves.
And so begins their spectacular failing to do so.
