Timer (Ereri)

Imagine a timer that counts down to when you'll meet your soulmate.

In a world where a small clock on your wrist counts down to when you'll meet your one true love, Eren Jaeger finds himself amongst an impatient world, one that pressures him to find his soul mate in the sea of people in the bustling, ever-moving city of New York. However, as all of the people around have their timers going off, his friends getting married off and whisked away by their spouses, one thing holds Eren back from what everyone calls "the inevitable".

Eren timer has been jumping around for years.

The numbers change from second to second, moving from days to years to months; and Eren is sick of it. He's sick of the apologetic looks people would give him, sick of the sympathetic words people would offer him, laced with a muted condescension. So when Eren is given the chance to spend his last semester of college backpacking through Europe he takes it, hoping that the newness, the freshness of it all will clear his mind a bit. Just hoping that it'll make him feel alive for once.

And alive is what he felt when he woke up one morning with three days left on his timer.

Levi Ackerman is the complete opposite of the optimistic Eren.

Living in France, Levi spends his days living in his penthouse alone. His girlfriend of three years, Petra, breaks up with him because she doesn't have a lot of time left before she met her soulmate. After that, Levi loses all hope for romance. He's never had any problems with him timer, it works fine. Rather, he has a problem with timers in general.

He doesn't believe in them.

Levi doesn't believe in the fact that there is someone made for him out there in the world. In fact, he actively rejects it. All Levi's ever wanted was freedom; all he ever wanted was a world with no constriction.

And constricted was what he felt when he found out he only had three days left on his timer.
