Laramie Richay was always kept at arms length, getting to close would be seen as treason. No matter where she went, it was always like this, whether it be her mother's homeland or her father's. Her search for freedom lands her in a small town with problems she feels she knows the answer to. Along the way assassins sent by her father's bitter brother seek her out to seal her demise. A tug-of-war on Laramie's heart pulls her between what she longs to do and what is best for the safety of those who have come to trust her.
