Being from a poor family, Luca had never got anything he wanted. He was raised by a single mother, who never mentioned anything about his father. He worked hard and got a scholarship to Duke University together with his wealthy best friend, since they were children they left their home Mystic Falls to go to Duke. While there Luca met Laurie and it was love at first sight at least he thought so, the two started dating almost immediately and for two weeks they were inseparable that was until she met Craig, the rich and charming son of a mayor and bang!  She left him for his best friend, he never mentioned it to Craig that there were already dating, instead he stepped back as he always does and the two got into a relationship that soon turned into a married. He left afterwards so that he could be far from the obviously happy couple,  ten years later, he finds our that the twin children who Laurie claims are Craig's are his but as always Laurie asked him not to say anything to Craig.
