I've read multiple books about being an introvert, and you know what I mostly see? "I HAVE WRITTEN THIS BOOK TO HELP PEOPLE GET OUT OF THEIR SHELL. BEING AN INTROVERT DOESN'T HELP YOU AS AN ADULT" and then I have to hold back from slapping the shit out of that person. You know why? Because being an extrovert doesn't help either! No one has the fucking upper hand. So yes, I'm a salty bitch that stays indoors in my bed all day.

This is not something she can control, nor something that's necessarily dangerous. It just happens. One second she's in darkness, the next second she happens to be in someone's dream. But, when she stumbles into a dream of a guy she never knew existed in her grade of 500 students, albeit his popular status, both her worlds get flipped upside down.

"I think I'm gay." I say, leaving out the part about my... exposing dream about him last night. I watched his expression, waiting for some sign that he was angry. I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. I look away, towards the door to hide the crimson blush that I feel spread over my face. "Thanks." I all but squeak out. She went back completely wasted and needed a place to stay for the night since her dad was on her ass about getting drunk so she stays with him.
