Entry for the #thirteenreasonswhy contest.
What if you knew someone was your true love? What would you do if knew you could be with them for a night, absolutely alone? You would go with them, wouldn't you? But what if you wouldn't, or rather couldn't, do it? What if you lost them forever because of that?
It seems impossible to write a novel in 500 words. But don't underestimate the power a single word can hold.

I have followed all guidelines and suggestions, and am eligible to enter this contest (American, in US, over 13, parental consent, etc.) This story is exactly 500 words long, broken up evenly, and doesn't step an inch out of line.

The Lies We Share ✔

30 bab Lengkap

"She a coward sitting alone in her room, faceless and nameless among the many others like her. She was the shadow of a "real" girl. Laura felt the tears come, and it felt like forever since they've last truly fallen." We can't control the world but we can control how we react to it. Wise words, but nobody, especially not Laura Cliff, actually cares to follow that mantra. You could call it a character flaw but in her mind, it is unrelenting confidence in her ability to read people. Even if reading people is like talking through a tin can connected by a string that spans 1,000 miles. Relationships, she will learn, are kind of like that. If a drunk aunt and a sober world can't help her see through the lies, who exactly can? In The Lies We Share by Courtney Knight, one girl finds power and love in her daily life. Copyright 2020
