The Black Bird
This is something I'm working on for fun and I'm not super great at writing so I apologize if some parts of this story comes off as iffy. The cover photo will definitely be changed at a later date so please, bear with me for a little. All art depicted on covers is all accredited to a friend of mine. It appeared suddenly without warning. There was no sign of it anywhere, it just appeared. No species on any world was prepared for it nor the chaos it brought. Its appearance was something miraculous, it healed the sick and blind, it awoke those in comas. As if it wanted everything to witness it in all its glory. But the chaos that followed was unprecedented. It changed the terrain of the world and turned society into pure anarchy. But he survived. It deemed him, this boy, as worthy. Now he has a simple task. Make it to the top of the structure, meet with God. What will he do when he meets him? That's to be found.

I wrote this when I was still a 2nd year in college. It was my best friends birthday and his presence in my life inspired me to write a story. This is that story. Okay, so here's how it all began. Basically, teenagers have been vanishing across the country and no one has the foggiest idea what's going on (myself included). But at the end of the day I've got bigger things to worry about, such as the eternal hell that is the last day of high school and my psychopathic chemistry teacher. I've got enough going on in my life to be worrying about something I can't do anything about. Famous last words Nick. Suddenly I find myself being dragged into a world I apparently belong to and there's a war going on. The light and the dark are scrabbling for control and everything is hanging by a thread. And I'm stuck in the middle of it. So with the help of a few new friends, some new enemies, beasts, monsters and superpowered teenagers, I'm somehow going to navigate this mad new world and hopefully get out on the other side with all my limbs still intact.
