"What, do you mean, they're coming?" I whisper.
"Not just them, The Beast is too," Shaye replies with a grin. He's wanted to do this his whole life.
Shaye Dashkov and Lydia Nightshire aren't like the other teens in Lylan. They aren't in charge of the defenses or planning with the elders. They are the children of prophecy, the last Dragon Slayers. Unlike the traditional Dragon Slayers, they aren't trained to slay one particular dragon type. They can slay all the different kinds that they're elders know of. But they're purpose is to slay one particular dragon. A dragon that is as dark as night and faster than lightning, with teeth as sharp as a freshly sharpened razor. It's earned the name; The Beast. But if the prophecy is true, they will have to give up a lot to save their magical world as they know it.

I sensed other living creatures within the realm along with me. Creatures with long slender bodies, coloured completely black and allowing no light to reflect of their skin. Purple droplets of slimy liquid dripped off their long-stretched limbs which moved and swayed like long ropes showing no visible signs of bones. 3 claw like fingers poked out from the ends of their hands. It was if their whole inner bodies were made entirely of ink all held together in a black skin like a balloon. Their faces were flat, showing no emotion, only two eerie luminous violet eyes- that's it.
