10 years ago the Priors left Chicago to get a fresh start, leaving behind their daughters best friend Tobias, where he was beaten until he passed away. On their way, they got into a car accident and supposedly lost their daughter.
10 years later, Andrew prior gets a job offer back in that same city and they decide to move back. But little does Beatrice and Tobias know that the other is still alive.

She kills David before he can kill her and releases the serum. Soon after, she moves into the city with Tobias and some of the other refugees. Tris' memory is spared due to her divergence but no one knows. She will have to escape the city with the ones she loves in order to create a lasting future for her and her child.
