(Currently on hold but I do plan on finishing this) 

Basically an alternate universe where klance and Shidge happen, also lance, pidge and hunk are altean and shiro and keith are galra, please don't judge me ;-; this is also an AU so if it's not accurate to voltron just remember it's an AU. one last thing pidge is aged up a bit, she is around the same age as Lance, Hunk, and Keith...I suck at descriptions so I'll try my best.

 When the Galra attack the planet altea the king, Alfor, takes his daughter, Allura, and her son, Lance, and Lance's friends, Pidge and Hunk, and also the advisor Coran to the planet Arus, in hopes to escape the attack and come up with a plan. But they were later found and it was too late. In the kings last effort to protect his family he put Allura and Coran in a deep sleep and they were kept in the healing pods. The children on the other hand, the Galra had no clue of there existence, he used a spell (thing) to change their appearance to resemble people on Earth and erased their memories, afterwards sending them to earth on and escape pod (thing). But the pod was followed...

Anyways, sorry for any spelling mistakes and stuff, I am terrible at English. And of course I don't own Voltron. (Obviously) Also please enjoy this (trash) story! X3 Oh and last I had no clue what to make the cover so it's a random pic I found online. Any pictures I show will not be mine (but I'm sure you know that) if I ever decided to draw something for this I would say. And this story may become mature...maybe.

Lance is fed up. In all his years, he has only known life inside the Castle of Lions. As he described it, a prison cell disguised as an extravagant home for the royal. He longs to get away, but his newly crowned sister, Allura, won't have it. So, against her younger brother's wishes, she hires a bodyguard to keep him 'safe' inside the castle. But, the new guard turns out to be... odd. Not quite Altean, not quite Galran. Compared to Lance and the rest of the empire, one could say Keith has many strange differences. *** "So..." Allura continued, clearing her throat. Her neck likely aced from looking up for so long. "I know you're not going to like this news, but... It's for the kingdom's best... It's for your best. If something ever happens to me-" "Yeah, yeah. I'll have to step up as king." Lance mumbled. He just wanted to be done with this conversation. In a world, a long, long time ago, lived a crystal. The lands flourished and bloomed until the crystal cracked, the shard lost to time. There came two races with the crystal cracked, the Skeksis and the Mystics. With both races dying, only one could save them. His name was Keith, the last known living Gelfling. He was the chosen one. And he has no clue. NOTE: This takes place in the Dark Crystal universe but still has my own twists to it. I'm basing this story solely off the movie and my own imagination. A few tidbits of knowledge that would make this story make a lil more since are: -This one-shot is only based off the movie, not the comics nor the upcoming (as of 2019) show. -All of the species named here (Gelfling, Skeksis, Mystics, Podlings) are all more humanoid than what is canon in the Dark Crystal movie but you can still image them as you wish. -The Skeksis are the Galra. (The Mystics AREN'T the Alteans though.) Image the Skeksis as more Galra-like or more Skeksis-like, do what fits your imagination. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. I have not watched all the seasons and have changed the backstory of some characters. I do not own any of the characters in this story, and I do not own any of the artwork. There is smut, swearing, talk of rape, and self-harm in the story. I will not be putting disclaimers at the beginning of the chapters, so if you don't want to read it, move on to another story.
