Luana, a female werewolf, has found herself a cozy life by herself, far from her wolf brethren. However, the loneliness has begun to get to her, and despite her resistance, she finds herself attracted to the human male who has built his own cabin not far from hers. It's mating season for werewolves and Luana wonders if it's only her wolf instincts influencing her, or if something more fundamental and much deeper is at work.
As she gets closer to Kent, she begins to ask herself how she can possibly keep her wolf nature from him, and more seriously: whether he'll even accept her when he finds out. She's only begun to struggle with these questions, however, when a new werewolf shows up in town, hungry, and looking for a mate.
Alex has lived with her abusive Uncle ever since her mother was murdered right in front of her eyes by strange men that came to the house, then dragged her step father out of the house into a black car with shaded windows. She called what she thought was a family friend and he brought her and her little brother Rob to live with her Uncle. Alex fights to make money so that as soon as she graduates she can get her and her brother out of this hellhole, and prevent Uncle from doing to Rob what he does to her. One day her life is turned inside out as she meets a handsome cop that says their mates and claims that they are both werewolves. But what he doesn't know before he falls in love with her could ruin everything when she finds out. She's not just a werewolf. She's part vampire.
