Thoughts That Breathe

Sean McLoughlin has been able to read minds ever since he was born, and his town threatened his life until his mother sent him to live with his uncle in Etna, California. The small, isolated town kept his secret safe for ten years. After graduating high school, his friends - twins Mark and Sunny - plan on moving to Ireland with Sean at the end of summer, a plan they've had since the trio met.

Having powers like his opens doors one wishes to remain closed, and on the first night of summer, Sean is visited by a demon pleading for safety, a demon who looks like himself.

He learns of a mirror world filled with evil, ruled by a Demon Queen who will stop at nothing to kill off all humans. He finds others who look like him, who look like his friends, and every one of them is an enemy.

Sean and his friends' lives are on the line, and he must learn to face his fears, to no longer remain a follower, all to keep his friends safe and to see his mother again.
