An Obsession To Hide

"His fingerprints are pressed against the glass." She whispered into the receiver she was clutching to her ear, her heart pounding in her chest. Her eyes widened in fright, she couldn't help the nervous tremors of her lips, her eyes trained on the lonesome fingerprints on her window's slanted glass. "He was here." She whimpered, her fear rushing wild in her eardrums, as she clutched the phone all the harder. Shaking lightly, her delicate frame hidden behind a light ensemble she pressed her fingers to the glass, a sick fascination of curiosity guiding her frightful hand. She closed her eyes, feeling the tremors subside slightly, her eyes searching the darkness for anything, while praying internally to see nothing at all. "I'm telling you, he was here again." She said, her voice muted in her own ears, barely hearing the muttering on the other end of the phone. Shaking her head in disbelief, she stared straight ahead, jerking back abruptly, a strangled cry on her lips as eyes emerged from the darkness, a predatory aura hanging around them in a ghostly presence.
