Lavender, a person who has a nag for anything and everything poetry, is gender-neutral. This thirteen year old prefers the pronouns they/them. They have struggles, yes, they absolutely KILL them. Kids at their school, Raymond Cree Middle School, hurt them. They are confused, angry, sad, depressed, happy, and so many other conflicting emotions. Figuring things out is difficult, especially when everyone except their mom is a jerk about it. Growing up in Palm Springs already has struggles. This just adds ten times more, but they fight like hell to get through. This is them. They are great.

"God made everyone perfect, right? Then why is my existence a sin." Nick is a trans boy who is just trying to be himself. But sadly not everyone excepts him that way. His parents try really hard to get him to be a girl and after he got into a fight at school he has to go to detention where he meets a boy called Devin. While his own view about himself is challenged, he finds himself touching rock bottom. But Nick is just trying to be accepted as himself, Unapologetically. This is a story written for pride month 2024. Don't worry, I did do research about being trans, but if you are a trans person, and there is anything you feel like isn't right or lacking in this story, feel free to let me know!
