Everyone knows about the Vampire King's beloved. No one knows what she looks like. She keeps to herself, in a small house just inside the forest that houses the vampires. The King regularly visits her, but no one else is allowed anywhere near the place.
It's rumored that she rules the forest as he rules vampires, since animals have followed him back from a visit more than once. Most of the time it's a small bird that flits behind him, or a squirrel that scurries in his footsteps. Once it was a panther, and the large black feline pacing in the throne room terrified everyone except for the King himself. If anything he was amused by it.
Curious, and seeking revenge a small team of rogue vampires plans to kidnap the girl. A horrible choice on their part. But they don't know her story.
