*This is a remake of a book I deleted do to the fact that it wasn't that good but I really liked the story line so I decided to just rewrite it . The only character I created is Olivia all the others are/were created by Shonda Rhymes aka Shondaland and the story line is partly inspired by the Hallmark movie "Meet My Mom" *
Derek Shepherd was a widow his wife Addison was one of the first responders on 9/11 she died that day in the south tower of the World Trade Center. They were high school sweethearts and she was taken away from him just like that in the blink of an eye and so he told himself that he would never fall in love again which is why he decided to enlist in the army
Meredith Grey was a single mother her daughter Olivia never knew her father he died before she was born that didn't matter Meredith was always there for her Olivia was the best thing that ever happened to her and when she wasn't with Olivia she was a doctor at Seattle Grace Hospital and do that she never gave time to herself
But what happens when Olivia teacher assigned her class to write to soldiers and Olivia ends up being signed up to write to Derek Shepherd and what if some how their worlds collided and Meredith and Derek end up meeting each other do they end up with a second chance and fall in love with each other or do they get scared at the one thing they both deserve and run away

DISCLAIMER: I wrote this a decent chunk of time ago which means that the grammar, punctuation and overall writing is lacking in this story. It's not totally horrendous but just know that this is no longer my writing style and I have since become more fluent and educated. Some chapters might have been better written than others because I have since edited some of them. Mackenzie Blayke Forbes-Montgomery-Shepherd is the daughter of Addison and Derek. She is five and very bright. This story follows this little girl as she handles being thrown into unfortunate situations. A collection of 3-6 chapter stories revolving around this family. Addek is not in a relationship. Derek is with Meredith. Addison has not met Jake. Lots of angst, hurt/comfort and you might end up hating me because Mackenzie goes through a lot of very booboo things but for sure some good fluff too. Meredith Grey, double board certified surgeon in both neuro and general. She is a child prodigy and has been offered chief at Seattle Grace stealing it right under from Derek Shepherd's nose. She hasn't had it easy though she has had a bad past and has done everything to escape it. She took her new job in Seattle for a better life for her and her 3 year old daughter. Whilst moving to Seattle she promised herself to stick to herself but will someone change that. This story will contain strong themes a TW will be placed where necessary.
