The island that Jurassic Park was on has been abandoned.
That is, except for the dinosaurs inhabiting it.
Brontasaurus still roam the wild grasses and Velociraptors still hunt in packs, chasing down herbivores. Tyrannosaurus still bare their inch-long teeth and Mosasaurus still swim in the dark oceans surrounding Jurassic Park.
Noel Winters is at a festival. She's having a great time inhaling the aroma of sandwiches being sold at stands. Giant dinosaur-shaped balloons are in the clenched hands of kids and people are enjoying beer and wine being served with the sandwiches.
That is, she's having a great time until a scientist pulls her aside and tells her Braak, Inc. needs a scientist to go with four other people to Isla Norbla, the island Jurassic Park was on.
Noel has always wanted to go there since she was a child, so she agrees.
And soon she finds herself in an armored boat heading to Isla Norbla.
