It was the golden age of pirating, where takings were rich. But the time of little resistance is now over. The cargo is still plentiful, but the ruling countries have decided to try and disband the custom, finally united in something, which is bad news for Ellie. The ageing captain of her ship can't do much about the fact that it nearly gets sunk in the daily battles, so when Ellie receives an offer from the young, dashing Tristan to join his crew, she doesn't hesitate. However, Ellie has an undesirable past, one that meant she was labelled an outsider on her last ship and one that she will keep hidden at all costs.
