In a world of ambiguous morals, Heath likes to think he's got it all figured out.

Determined to paint a world of grey into one of black and white, he believes all supers are evil and everyone else is on the good side of the spectrum.

Supers were the ones who killed his older brother after all. He'd still be here if they didn't exist.

But who is Poppy, the girl with the Chesire Cat grin? And who actually killed his brother?

And what are whispers, the voices in the back of his mind never seem to go silent which murmur of secret things which he can't help but listen to?

And as the world begins to turn upside down, Heath finds he likes the ceiling a whole lot better than the ground.

When Angelique Savant, a quiet, unassuming foster kid with a genius IQ is found not guilty of attempting to murder her best friend, she's committed to an insane asylum where she remains until she's found by her aunt and uncle who take her in. Surrounded by family she never knew existed until now, Angelique learns who her parents are. That like her, her father had secrets. Secrets that led to her being committed to a hospital for the criminally insane, and a darkness that seems to be hunting her like it hunted him. A darkness that puts anyone and anything she loves in danger. Enrolled in a new school, Angelique meets those in possession of gifts like hers who help her understand them. Because the world is running out of time and so is she. Especially when her identity as one of the fallen has been uncovered and she can no longer hide from those who hunt her. Unimaginable forces of darkness have been unleashed. And as she begins her training as one of the fallen, learning how to harness lightpower, she puts the puzzle pieces of her life together. Finding power within herself she never knew she had. The power of the fallen.
