I live in a pretty screwed up world. I mean, we all do, but mine's a little more screwed up than your average American city. First off, I have that cliché sort of crush on my best friend. I remember my mom telling me how mates are supposed to love and protect one another. I also remember her telling me that if my mate truly loved me, then he wouldn't care if I could half shift.
