Everyone knows the story.
A handsome, arrogant young prince denied shelter to an old hag only to discover that she was a beautiful enchantress. In return, she turned the young man into a horrible, ugly beast, doomed to stay that way until a woman fell in love with him, and he with her by his 21st birthday.
But now, the story's changed.
Meet Beau, the handsome book-loving son of Marie, the town's inventor (and possibly crazy lady as well), who wants so dearly for an adventure. Constantly hounded by the most attractive young woman in town, Gabrielle, he ignores her pleas for marriage by digging in deeper to his books. When his mother mysteriously goes missing one day on her way to an invention fair, he sets off on an adventure through the forest that changes his life forever.

Prince Alex was also very shallow. One day Prince Alex was vulgar and mean to a woman. The woman turns into a fairy and turns Prince Alex into a hideously ugly man.
