Jemma Black is a songwriter who is terrified of the world, she has agoraphobia. Jemma stays in the safety of her home to write music. Jemma, trying to overcome her fear, makes contact with a psychologist online. It's been awhile and they're making great progress, then the unthinkable happens. When Jemma is forced by Shawn (her psychologist and best friend) to go down stairs to the coffee shop she lives above, she meets a handsome man named Martin who just so happens to be the owner and CEO of the company she writes music for. Martin asks Jemma out and their romance starts. Will Jemma be able to overcome her fear of the outside world? Will Martin except who she is and help her open up her small world?

Jay's life was already pretty complicated. Adopted into a White family when he was born and having to try to navigate the world as a Black,Queer, adopted 16 year old. But things only get worse when strange things begin to happen to him and nightmares of a past he can't remember surface. Jay's world changes forever when he finds himself lifting objects with his mind and a very hot but seriously angry boy shows up calling him "one of us". Now the world seems a lot more dangerous and secrets about Jays origins are being revealed.
